JPMorgan Chase Commits Over $1.3 Million to Increase Skills Training and Job Growth in Detroit

In support of Detroit’s commitment to exceptional leadership development experiences, CSW is pleased to have been awarded a grant from JPMorgan Chase to launch a Detroit Workforce System Leadership Development Academy.  The Academy will leverage and build on the expertise of leaders across the workforce ecosystem through an intensive 12-month learning program, led by local leaders and guest faculty from across the nation.  Anchored in a world-class sector skills development model, grounded in practical application of innovative practices, and backed by an executive-level Detroit-based council of leaders, the Academy will conclude with capstone presentations that offer solutions for some of the City’s most intractable workforce issues.  The Academy is one in a series of upcoming events aimed at preparing the City’s next cohort of workforce system leaders to further Detroit’s rapidly emerging mix of supply-side and demand side workforce strategies.  Up to 22 senior-level workforce system practitioners will be accepted into the Academy.
