Debbie Charlton

Debbie is CSW’s Board Secretary and Senior Support Specialist. As Board Secretary, she records the minutes of all meetings of the Board of Directors, maintains records of committee meetings, and oversees the maintenance of membership lists and other documents. She also works closely with the CEO, Vice President – Policy & Strategy, and Chief Financial Officer to provide internal and external customer service. She provides general administrative support based upon the needs of the organization, including scheduling and project support. Debbie has more than 25 years of customer service and administrative support experience across a variety of employers.

Prior to joining CSW in 2004, she worked in accounts receivables and outside sales for Erb Lumber Company, and was an Engineering Assistant for Injectronics, Inc., a Massachusetts-based plastics injection molding company. Debbie studied business administration at Eastern Michigan University and Anchorage Community College.

Projects at CSW:

Debbie has provided administrative support for many of the projects and team leaders at CSW; including scheduling, event planning and logistics, data collection for Hope Starts Here, Michigan Justice Fund, Credentials as You Go, The Regional Workforce Strategies CEO workgroup, the Detroit Leadership Academy, and the Detroit Workforce Benchmarking project.

Board Membership:

Debbie has been a CSW Board Officer and the Assistant Secretary since May 2010 and Secretary since January 2020.
