Dr. Roderick Nunn is the vice president of diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) for SSM Health, a Catholic, not-for-profit health system serving the comprehensive health needs of communities across the Midwest through a robust and fully integrated health care delivery system. Rod provides system leadership to drive workforce, workplace and marketplace DEI initiatives in service to the organization’s mission. Rod also works as a venture partner with Learn Capital helping to provide capital and capabilities to Learn’s portfolio of tech-enabled companies in the education and talent development space.
Rod previously served as the executive vice president, and head of education & employment at Concordance, an innovative, non-profit that has dramatically reduced reincarceration rates of justice-involved adults. Rod is the co-founder of Concordance Employment Agency, an alternative staffing agency employing associates in logistics, manufacturing, retail, and food service industries.
Rod earned a doctor of management degree from the University of Maryland Global Campus, a master of public administration degree from the University of Illinois at Springfield, and a bachelor of music degree from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville. Rod brings over 20 years of workforce development experience to CSW including serving as an executive at St. Louis Community College where he was vice chancellor of workforce solutions and campus president. Rod also previously directed the public workforce system for three Governors in Illinois and Missouri. Rod and his wife Ramona have two sons, Joshua, age 23 and Judah, age 20.
