Dr. Roderick Nunn’s personal mission is to see others the way God sees them and to help them flourish.
He serves as the vice president of culture and team member experience for SSM Health, a Catholic, not-for-profit, fully integrated health system working to advance health equity and empower all people to achieve their full potential. Rod provides system leadership to drive workforce, workplace and marketplace initiatives in service to the organization’s mission “through our exceptional health care services, we reveal the healing presence of God.” Rod’s award-winning team has recently been named a 2024 Diversity Leader by Modern Healthcare and the 2024 Champion of Diversity and Inclusion by the St. Louis Business Journal. Rod was also a recent recipient of the Health and Wellness award from 100 Black Men of Metropolitan St. Louis.
Dr. Nunn previously served as the executive vice president, and head of education & employment at Concordance, an innovative, behavioral health non-profit that has dramatically reduced reincarceration rates of justice-involved adults. Rod is the co-founder of Concordance Employment Agency.
Rod earned a Doctor of Management degree from the University of Maryland Global Campus, where he serves as an award-winning adjunct professor. He also earned a Master of Public Administration degree from the University of Illinois at Springfield, and a Bachelor of Music degree from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville. Rod previously served as vice chancellor of workforce solutions and campus president at St. Louis Community College and directed the public workforce system for three Governors in Illinois and Missouri. Rod and his wife Ramona have two sons, Joshua, age 26 and Judah, age 23.
