Best Wishes to Jeannine LaPrad

Congratulations from CSW to Jeannine LaPrad, who has left our team after 23 years to take on a new challenge as Managing Director of Policy and Research at the National Skills Coalition. And while we will miss Jeannine enormously, we’re delighted that her next phase of influencing workforce policy and practice will be done through the Skills Coalition.  We know she’ll make great contributions to the already powerful work they do.

Jeannine joined CSW in 1998, straight out of graduate school, as a policy associate. Within four years, she was promoted to become CSW’s first Vice President & Chief Operating Officer. In 2006, she became CSW’s second President & CEO, a role she played for the next 12 years. Since leaving the CEO role, Jeannine has done a variety of high impact project and internal work as a senior policy fellow.

“Jeannine made pivotal contributions as a leader at CSW.  She challenged us to focus on the impact of our work, and then led us in crafting a set of focused strategies through which to align our work more tightly with our mission – to do work that increases economic mobility and reduces poverty,” said CSW President & CEO (and co-founder) Larry Good.

“I’m particularly appreciative of Jeannine’s great help as CSW recalibrated its strategy and structure over the past year,” added Good. “She was a leader in CSW making and operationalizing a commitment to racial equity and inclusion in our work and operations. And she helped the staff articulate our major areas of strategy focus moving ahead.”

“As a result of that work, we’re in the midst of building the next generation team of amazing staff and leadership at CSW, and Jeannine leaves knowing we’re clearly embarked on that journey.”

Jeannine’s CSW family looks forward to working with her in new ways in her new role at NSC.  Thanks for dedicating more than two decades of your life to helping CSW be a systems change force within the workforce policy field!
