CSW Welcomes Vickie Choitz as Director – Federal, State & Local Systems Change

We are excited to announce that Vickie Choitz is joining the CSW team as Director – Federal, State & Local Systems Change. Vickie will help lead, develop, and manage CSW’s portfolio of work centered on transforming multi-level workforce systems, policy and practice to reduce poverty, increase economic mobility for low-wage workers, and address racial disparities.

“Vickie brings incredible experience, expertise, ideas, relationships and passion to this role,” said CSW President & CEO Larry Good. “She’s a leader in forging partnerships committed to reimagining workforce and education policy and practice, dedicated to improving opportunities for those most in need.”

Vickie has been working with CSW as a consultant since 2017 focusing in particular on bringing trauma-informed and resilience-building approaches into the workforce development field and on developing and implementing a transformative adult foundational skills strategy in Detroit. Over the last 20 years, Vickie has worked across workforce development, adult education, postsecondary education and improving the quality of jobs; her multi-dimensional experience will be a great asset in supporting systems improvement around the country.

Vickie has worked at national nonprofit organizations in Washington, DC, Boston, and Chicago, including the Aspen Institute, the Center for Law and Social Policy, Jobs for the Future, the Council for Adult and Experiential Education, and FutureWorks.
